The Hampton Roads Workforce Council is the regional workforce development board for the 757 — connecting people to careers and employers to talent across South Hampton Roads and the Peninsula.

Building the region’s talent pipeline
As the federally-designated workforce board for Hampton Roads, HRWC brings together employers, educators, and community partners to strengthen the regional economy. We invest Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding where it matters most — helping residents build careers and helping businesses find the skilled workers they need to grow.
From the shipyards of Newport News to the hospitals of Norfolk, we serve every corner of the 757 with career centers, industry training systems, and dedicated teams for job seekers, veterans, young adults, and employers.
