Real time

When is my bus coming?

Countdowns come from the vehicle itself, not the printed timetable. A bus that is running late shows the time it will actually reach you.

Fares and passes

What it costs, in plain numbers

Fares cap automatically. Once you have paid the value of a day pass, the rest of the day is free, so there is nothing to calculate before you board.

Adult single ride

$1.75

Good for one boarding. Transfers are covered by the day cap below.

Day pass, capped

$3.50

Reached automatically after two rides. Everything after that is free.

Honored citizen

$0.85

Age 60 and over, riders with disabilities, and Medicare card holders.

Youth 18 and under

Free

No pass, no paperwork. Board and ride.

Three ways to pay

  • Tap a card or phone Contactless bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the farebox reader. The cap applies to the card you tapped with.
  • Cash on board Exact change only, the farebox does not give change. Ask the operator for a paper day pass once you reach the cap.
  • Cherriots fare app Buy in advance and show the moving barcode to the operator. Passes stay valid without a signal.

Riding with us

First time on the bus? This is all of it.

  1. Be at the stop two minutes early Buses can leave a timepoint on time but not before it. Wave so the operator sees you waiting.
  2. Check the headsign, not just the number The sign above the windshield names the direction. Route 11 to Highland and Route 11 to Downtown use the same stop.
  3. Pay as you board Tap, insert cash or show your pass. Tell the operator where you are going if you are unsure.
  4. Pull the cord one stop early The stop is announced out loud and on the interior sign. Leave through the rear door when the light is green.

Accessibility on every bus

Every vehicle in the fleet kneels, carries a ramp and has two securement positions. Operators are trained to deploy the ramp on request, at any stop, without being asked twice.

  • Ramp and kneeling on all routes
  • Stops announced by voice and screen
  • Two bike positions, no extra fare
  • LIFT paratransit for trips the bus cannot serve
